The San Francisco 49ers were one of 17 teams that did not receive any compensatory picks in April's draft, according to an announcement on Friday from the league's Vice President of Football Communications.

The 49ers' free-agent gains during the 2017 offseason exceeded the team's losses. Last year, San Francisco announced seven free agent signings on the first day of free agency alone.


There will be a tiebreaking coin flip between the 49ers and Oakland Raiders on Friday, March 2 to determine which team selects with the ninth-overall pick and which picks one spot later. Each team finished the 2017 season with 6-10 records and matching strength-of-schedules (.512).

Barring any trades, San Francisco will head into the 2018 NFL Draft with the nine selections listed below.

Round 1: Pick 9 or 10, own pick
Round 2: from Saints, 2017
Round 3: from Bears, 2017
Round 3: own pick
Round 4: from Steelers, Vance McDonald trade
Round 5: from Jets, Rashard Robinson trade
Round 6: own pick
Round 7: own pick
Round 7: from Chiefs, Kenneth Acker trade
