What does that mean for the 49ers offensive line? It is likely you will see Beadles anchoring the offensive line on the other side of Joe Staley against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday ... and possibly beyond. Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group believes it's possible Brown heads to injured reserve.
Of course, only three games are remaining this season, but when you are trying to protect your quarterback of the future in Jimmy Garoppolo, it helps to have one of your offensive line's best players out there.
In his first 49ers start, a game which Brown played, Garoppolo was under pressure on just nine of his 40 dropbacks (23%) against the Chicago Bears, per Pro Football Focus. Against the Texans, a game which Brown was inactive, Garoppolo was under pressure on 16 of his 36 dropbacks (44%).
Below are the official Thursday practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Titans, as provided by the 49ers Communications department.
