On Thursday, the only changes from the previous day's injury report for the San Francisco 49ers were that tackle Joe Staley, who had missed Wednesday's practice but not due to an injury, returned to practice and defensive end Pita Taumoepenu did not participate.

The 49ers are preparing to play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium.


Rookie linebacker Reuben Foster, who is recovering from a high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 1, and safety Eric Reid were the only players who did not participate during Thursday's practice. However, Foster was able to go through warmups with his teammates for the second-straight day before heading off to a side field for rehabilitation prior to the start of practice.

Linebacker Brock Coyle and safety Jaquiski Tartt have been cleared from the concussion protocol, according to Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group. That isn't the case for fullback Kyle Juszczyk. All three were limited in practice for the second-straight day.
