CB Jimmie Ward, who suffered a concussion on Sunday against the New England Patriots, was cleared for non-contact football activity this week after not practicing on Tuesday or Wednesday. He is currently in the league-mandated concussion protocol.
WR Torrey Smith has been practicing this week. Smith missed the first game of his career this past weekend as he sat against the Patriots.
On Thursday, head coach Chip Kelly said that OLB Aaron Lynch has practiced all week, but would still be a game time decision on Sunday. "He's practiced every day this week and we'll continue to monitor him and make a decision either after Saturday's practice or Sunday's workout," Kelly said.
