George Kittle made his sentiments clear in a recent conversation about his teammate, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The tight end emphasized that he couldn't picture the San Francisco 49ers without Aiyuk and spoke highly of him in a discussion with Fox News Digital's Scott Thompson.

Throughout the offseason, Kittle has had several conversations with Aiyuk and empathizes with his situation. Reflecting on his own contract negotiation in 2020 before reaching an agreement with the 49ers, Kittle offered his best advice to Aiyuk: "Hey, be patient."

Kittle added, "It's just kind of the way the Niners do things. I didn't sign my contract until two-and-a-half weeks into training camp, and that's pretty stressful when you have to go out there and practice while doing a deal. So, I told him, 'Be patient, continue to work on your craft, don't let anything distract you. Just go out and be yourself every single day.' He's in the right state of mind, the right space. I'm not worried about Brandon."

Aiyuk proved his worth this past season, amassing a career-high and team-leading 1,342 receiving yards, along with seven touchdowns. He achieved this with just 75 catches, boasting an impressive average of 17.9 yards per reception.

"Me, on the outside looking in, I don't know how we don't keep Brandon as a 49er for as long as he wants to be one because he's such a talented player," Kittle said. "If you give a guy like that 120 targets, you guys are going to see absolutely crazy things. And he did that with almost no targets this year when you're competing with four or five guys to get the ball. He's a true wide receiver one, and he's going to get what he deserves."

Kittle acknowledges that contract negotiations can be uncomfortable as teams assess your value, which may not always align with your own perceptions, especially when committing so much money to a single player is involved.

This week, general manager John Lynch assured reporters that the 49ers are committed to signing Aiyuk to a long-term deal.

"I've communicated on a couple of occasions, on many occasions, our wish," Lynch stated. "And our wish is that he's here and a part of the Niners for the rest of his career. We're working through that."

Ian Rapoport sends clear message regarding 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel

By David Bonilla
Apr 30

One thing is clear: Ian Rapoport expects Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel to be on the San Francisco 49ers roster when the team takes the field in Week 1 of the 2024 season. At this point, most probably feel that way. The fact that both stayed with the team throughout the draft clearly signals that general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan intend to retain their two talented receivers—at least for one more season. "Week 1 of 2024, it looks like they both will be [on the roster]," Rapoport told guest host Tom Pelissero on "The Rich Eisen Show." However, nothing in the NFL is ever certain. "Now, look, crazy things can happen," Rapoport continued. "Someone loses a star receiver, they decide to give the 49ers something of value for this

Ricky Pearsall has message for 49ers fans as rookie embarks on NFL journey

By David Bonilla
Apr 29

New San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was in Santa Clara on Friday, getting to know his new coaches and touring his new NFL home. This included the team's home field, Levi's Stadium, which is situated next to the team's headquarters. Fans and analysts were surprised by Pearsall's selection. They projected the 49ers would use their No. 31 overall pick on the best available offensive tackle. Pearsall, who didn't really have San Francisco on his radar, was also surprised by the selection. "I think the only time I actually met with them was during the Senior Bowl when you're kind of doing like the little speed dating meetings," Pearsall told reporters during a Zoom call after learning he was headed to the 49ers. "So that's really the only time I really

Brandon Aiyuk isn't the only San Francisco 49ers player being mentioned in trade chatter around the NFL. According to Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, several teams are also reaching out to inquire about the availability of wide receiver Deebo Samuel. "In the course of trade conversations about Brandon Aiyuk, numerous teams are inquiring about fellow 49ers WR Deebo Samuel's availability," Silver reports. "The 49ers would likely have to be blown away by the offer to make that move. Fluid situation, though." In the course of trade conversations about Brandon Aiyuk, numerous teams are inquiring about fellow

Rapoport: Brandon Aiyuk's status 'firmly up in the air' as 49ers near draft

By David Bonilla
Apr 25

NFL insider Ian Rapoport joined NFL Network ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, which kicks off in a couple of hours, and provided an update on San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk amid several trade rumors. "I think it's fair to say the status of Brandon Aiyuk is very firmly up in the air for the San Francisco 49ers," Rapoport stated. "No doubt they're going to have interest from teams potentially trading for Brandon Aiyuk. And we may actually find out tonight because the 49ers have been very clear internally and externally. They would like a first-round pick for such a talented receiver. And the reality is this has been the market." RELATED: Several teams
