Quarterback Joshua Dobbs was a member of three franchises last season. After spending most of training camp with the Cleveland Browns, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals just prior to the start of the regular season. Then, he was dealt to the Minnesota Vikings at the NFL trading deadline. The Cardinals and Vikings did not make the playoffs, and the Browns were blown out in an AFC wild-card game. Dobbs, who signed with the 49ers this offseason as an unrestricted free agent, said on the Torchbearers podcast that he wanted to experience the culture the 49ers have created under coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. He said he could feel it during a recent visit to the 49ers headquarters in Santa Clara. "It's exactly what I want to be around," said Dobbs, 29. "At this stage of my career, I just want an opportunity to get to the dance in whatever aspect, whatever role that takes, just to taste it. And so to join a team that's done it, my mentality is whatever I can do to help, get back there and then go from there." Bucky Brooks explains why 49ers drafting Ricky Pearsall was a reaction to Super Bowl loss
By David Bonilla
May 11
NFL Network's Bucky Brooks believes Ricky Pearsall will open up opportunities for head coach Kyle Shanahan. He suggests that drafting the rookie was a response to the San Francisco 49ers' Super Bowl 58 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. During the "NFL Fantasy Football Show," Brooks stated that the rookie wide receiver will address some issues the 49ers offense faced against man coverage.
"I think it's a direct reaction to the Super Bowl," Brooks declared.
Confidently entering the game, the 49ers believed they had a solid game plan for the Chiefs, who had previously defeated them in the Super Bowl only four years

Why 49ers rookie Isaac Guerendo sees limited college experience as a benefit

Isaac Guerendo carried the football 132 times during his final collegiate season, rushing for 810 yards and 11 touchdowns. It marked the most carries the Louisville running back had during a single season throughout his college career.
Consistently finding himself behind another running back on the depth chart, Guerendo started only one game in college, which might seem like a negative to some evaluators. However, the San Francisco 49ers were willing to see what the young running back could do at the professional level, making him a fourth-round draft pick.
"I've played with a lot of great backs, been in a lot of great rooms," Guerendo told reporters on Thursday after reporting to the 49ers for the rookie minicamp.
The rookie doesn't perceive his

The Niners selected safety Malik Mustapha out of Wake Forest in the fourth round with the 124th overall pick. The pairing of Mustapha with the Bay Area team, known for its physical defense, has Bowen intrigued.
"Mustapha will compete for playing time in the 49ers' secondary," Bowen stated, "where he'll fit as an instinctual split-field safety
