Jul 28, 2017 at 4:30 PM

SANTA CLARA Here's what stood out to me during practice Friday morning. THE GOOD 1. TE George Kittle. Starting quarterback Brian Hoyer threw more passes (five) to Kittle than to any other player. Kittle seems to be Hoyer's favorite target, probably because none of the Niners linebackers can cover the rookie tight end. During seven-on-seven drills, Kittle easily beat starting middle linebacker NaVorro Bowman with an out route. Kittle even...

49ers' Brock Purdy completes tosses to George Kittle at Levi's Stadium...during Luke Combs concert

By Marc Adams
May 19

San Francisco 49ers fans are accustomed to seeing QB Brock Purdy complete passes to tight end George Kittle. On Saturday night, the duo hooked up a few more times at Levi's Stadium. But it was on a stage rather than on the field. Country music star, Luke Combs, was in concert at Levi's Stadium, when part of the way through his show, he called Purdy and Kittle on stage to join him. By David Bonilla

It's hardly surprising news, but NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirmed what many anticipated: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is unlikely to report to Santa Clara for organized team activities (OTAs), which commenced yesterday. The team's first practice open to the media will be held this afternoon. Garafolo points out that the two sides appear to remain far apart in the negotiation process, with Aiyuk seeking a long-term deal that makes him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. "So don't expect to see Aiyuk around for anything that's voluntary," Garafolo shared on NFL Network's "The Insiders" show. "And let's see about the mandatory stuff as well with him because you know he wants this done. He doesn't want to have to play on the last

Report: Amon-Ra St. Brown's contract the 'benchmark' in talks between 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk

By David Bonilla
May 24

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was seen celebrating after the Detroit Lions signed their star wideout, Amon-Ra St. Brown, to a lucrative four-year contract extension. This led many to speculate that Aiyuk, awaiting his own deal, views St. Brown's contract as a benchmark that strengthens his position at the negotiating table. According to a new report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, that speculation may very well be accurate. Aiyuk is likely seeking a deal similar to, if not exceeding, the one St. Brown received. "I was told the benchmark here is Amon-Ra St. Brown," Fowler said during "NFL Live,"
