San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks odds and pick - Week 15, 2018

Dec 13, 2018 at 9:41 AM0

The San Francisco 49ers showed some pride and rode a historic game from George Kittle en route to an upset win over the Denver Broncos in Week 14. The Niners will need every bit of that pride as they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday and try to avenge getting their rears handed to them two weeks ago. Here we discuss the odds and analysis from a betting perspective.

When: Sunday December 16th, 2018 at 1:05pm PST (FOX)
Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California
Line: Seahawks -4, total at 44

Seattle Seahawks
Though the game was closer than the final score, the Seattle Seahawks suffocated the Minnesota Vikings with stifling defense on Monday night and have now won four in a row. The Seahawks rank 8th in weighted offense at 11.4 percent and have the 29th and 1st ranked passing and rushing offenses, respectively.

Seattle has the 18th ranked weighted defense at 2.0 percent and the 17th and 16th ranked passing and rushing defenses, respectively.

Russell Wilson is 10th with a DYAR of 587 and 11th with a total QBR of 66.0. The Seahawks are 8th with a weighted DVOA of 13.5 percent, 8-3-2 against the spread (ATS), 6-7 to the over/under this season and have covered four and pushed once in their last five contests.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers' solid defense and big plays from tight end George Kittle helped put a damper on the Broncos' playoff hopes but will that be enough to pull off two consecutive upsets to teams in playoff contention? The Niners rank 27th in weighted offense at -16.9 percent and have the 16th and 8th ranked passing and rushing offenses, respectively.

San Francisco has the 21st ranked weighted defense at 4.1 percent and the 13th and 12th ranked passing and rushing defenses, respectively.

Nick Mullens has a DYAR of 168 and total QBR of 58.8. The 49ers are 31st with a weighted DVOA of -24.1 percent, 4-9 ATS, 7-6 to the over/under this season.

Prediction
Clearly, Kyle Shanahan and Robert Saleh are doing everything in their power to prove themselves and win games, draft position be damned, and they will be highly motivated to try and get even for their getting trounced in Seattle two weeks ago. We expect this game to be closer than their last contest with improved defense from the 49ers which could lead to a lower scoring game, and lean toward the under.

Seattle will be coming off of a short week but that might not be enough of a disadvantage to a hot Seahawks team that has won four straight and whose last three losses have come to the Chargers and twice to the Rams. Seattle has beaten the 49ers in ten straight games and has covered ATS in twelve of the last fourteen contests between these teams, including the last two match-ups, and we foresee continued success for the Seahawks against the Niners both straight up and ATS this week. Pick: Seahawks -4

Season
4-8 ATS
8-4 SU

2022 Schedule Tracker: 49ers open at Bears, host Seahawks Week 2

By David Bonilla
May 12

The NFL will unveil the league's complete 272-game 2022 schedule on Thursday night at 5:00 p.m. PT. It is common for select week-to-week opponent matchups to leak before the official announcement. I've created this tracker to collect those leaks as the official schedule release time approaches. As usual, the San Francisco 49ers will meet each NFC West team twice. On May 4, the NFL revealed that the 49ers will travel to Mexico City on November 21 to face the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca—a Week 11 primetime matchup on ESPN's Monday Night Football. The 49ers will face the third-place teams in the NFC East, NFC North, and AFC East. The team is also slated to play the entire NFC South and AFC West. NFL Kickoff Weekend will begin on

Creating the ideal 2022 San Francisco 49ers schedule

By Wayne Breezie

As I searched the world wide web for exciting things to bring to the world, I couldn't help but draw inspiration from the great Matt Barrows of The Athletic. In a recent mailbag article, a fan presented the task of creating the ideal San Francisco 49ers schedule based on what we already know for home/away opponents. Here is my dream schedule for the 2022 49ers season. Week 1 vs. Cardinals - This would be a home game for the 49ers and must-see television. Trey Lance would get a second chance at the team that handed him his first loss. Kyler Murray vs. Lance is pay-per-view quality. Week 2 at Panthers - Now that Lance got his feet wet, he should have no problems commanding his troops against the Carolina Panthers. I

The NFL revealed its complete 272-game 2022 regular-season schedule on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. PT. NFL Kickoff Weekend will begin on Thursday, September 8, culminating with Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The San Francisco 49ers open their season on the road against the Chicago Bears. Their first home game comes during Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. The Niners' bye is during Week 9. They are currently scheduled to participate in five prime-time matchups this year. San Francisco's opponents combined for a 154-135 record last season. The .533 winning percentage by opponents makes the 49ers' schedule tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the fifth toughest in the NFL, based on last year's results, and

49ers Notebook: Brock Purdy's draft surprise, Tariq Castro-Fields on his NFL readiness, and more

By Kirk Larrabee

Rookie minicamp gets underway Friday for 49ers drafted players and undrafted free agents, but before those players take the field, they were hit with a number of questions from reporters during pre-camp media sessions on Thursday. Among the players to speak with reporters on Thursday were wide receiver and third-round pick Danny Gray (SMU), offensive lineman and fourth-round pick Spencer Burford (UT-San Antonio), cornerback and sixth-round pick Tariq Castro-Fields (Penn State), quarterback and seventh-round pick Brock Purdy (Iowa State), and undrafted offensive linemen Jason Poe (Mercer) and Dohnovan West (Arizona State). 49ers WebZone already discussed what Gray said
