    I still don't think his numbers last year support the REPORTED contract this year. Waiting to see what the actual numbers are. He is worth 16 million a year.

    Interesting that Kap has a higher rating from under center than he did from the shotgun/pistol. Also interesting that he's not that great on 2nd down but is really good on 3rd down. Not sure what all this means, but it's interesting.

    Response: Part of it is due to his touchdown:interception ratio on 3rd down being better than on 1st and 2nd. The 49ers also tend to open up the offense more on third down with their personnel and sets. Could be part of why we are seeing them adding more receivers with an added emphasis on 3+ receiver sets.

49ers sign TE Chase Harrell and DB Jared Mayden to futures contracts, waive LS Colin Holba

The San Francisco 49ers announced a few minor roster moves on Wednesday. The team has signed tight end Chase Harrell and defensive back Jared Mayden to reserve/futures contracts. Both players finished the 2020 season on the 49ers' practice squad. San Francisco has also waived long snapper Colin Holba. He was signed on December 29, 2020, after the team's regular long snapper, Taybor Pepper, was placed on the reserve/COVID-19
