Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan said TE Delanie Walker (shoulder), OG Justin Smiley (shoulder), OG Eric Heitmann (leg), OT Jonas Jennings (shoulder), CB Shawntae Spencer (foot) and WR Darrell Jackson (toe) will likely be held out of the team's OTAs, which begin June 4.

Which players are participating in the 49ers rookie minicamp?

Today, the San Francisco 49ers will hold their second of three practices as part of a three-day rookie minicamp. Twenty-three players are participating, including the team's eight members of its 2021 draft class, the five signed undrafted free agents, a few members of the team with a year of experience, and several players trying out to make the roster. While yesterday's practice was the first opportunity for the media to see the rookies in a 49ers helmet, including the No. 3 overall pick, quarterback Trey Lance, the rest of this weekend's practices are closed to reporters. 49ers rookie safety Talanoa Hufanga on 49ers legacies, learning from Troy Polamalu

The connections to some of the all-time great safeties are strong for 49ers rookie Talanoa Hufanga as he begins his NFL career.
