S Jaquiski Tartt placed on Active/NFI list

The San Francisco 49ers announced Sunday that S Jaquiski Tartt has been placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. However, unlike Ian Williams, Tartt can be activated at any point during camp. The injury is minor (muscle tweak) and not a real concern for the coaching staff.



Tartt was a second-round selection by the 49ers out of Samford in 2015. He still counts against the 49ers' 90-player limit.

The first three rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft are in the books, and the San Francisco 49ers have added three offensive players and one defender. The team made quarterback Trey Lance of North Dakota State the No. 3 overall pick on Thursday night. On Friday night, the Niners traded back in the second round, eventually selecting offensive lineman Aaron Banks of Notre Dame. Later, in the third round, the team traded up to select running back Trey Sermon of Ohio State and then used its compensatory pick on cornerback Ambry Thomas of Michigan.
