One year after trade, 49ers continue to strike gold with Christian McCaffrey
By Kirk Larrabee

It's safe to say the San Francisco 49ers' decision to trade for running back Christian McCaffrey in 2022 has worked out about as well as it possibly could have to this point.
Not every trade has turned out that way for the 49ers in recent years, to say the least, but the move to acquire McCaffrey currently ranks as one of the best moves the team has made since general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan came on board in 2017. McCaffrey has become the focal point on a star-studded offense and is proving on a weekly basis that he is more than worthy of the price the 49ers paid to acquire him (a second, a third, a fourth, and a fifth-round pick) from the Carolina Panthers on October 20,

Following the San Francisco 49ers' 35-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, there was at least one member of the visiting team who seemed to be ready to scrap.
Cardinals running back James Conner was seen on camera after the game getting physical with 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga, although it remains unclear what caused the altercation.
Television cameras filmed Conner and Hufanga in a heated argument after the game, during which Conner put his hand on Hufanga's chin and gave him a shove. 49ers tight end George Kittle and Cardinals offensive lineman Keith Ismael then stood between the two players in order to prevent any further

The San Francisco 49ers cruised to a 35-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, improving to 4-0 on the season thanks to stellar performances from running back Christian McCaffrey, who scored a career-high four touchdowns, and quarterback Brock Purdy, who broke the 49ers' single-game completion rate record with a 20/21, 283-yard passing performance, bypassing legend Steve Young's record 90% rate.
As a result, the 49ers scored five touchdowns on six offensive drives in Purdy's best game of his career, and the quarterback's teammates were nothing but complimentary following the impressive performance.
Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave beamed about his young quarterback, calling Purdy's performance a one-of-a-kind game.

On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers looked dominant in their 35-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Several players had standout performances, including quarterback Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey.
Another was wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, whose exceptional performance earned him the game's highest overall grade (93.4) from Pro Football Focus. The grade doubles as the highest of the receiver's career.
Aiyuk is proving to be one of the NFL's rising stars, which will aid him next offseason when he seeks a contract extension with the 49ers.
