Right now, new Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence owns the best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, per DraftKings SportsBook (h/t to Patrick Tulini). Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields has the second-best odds. There is a tie in third place between Zach Wilson of the New York Jets and Trey Lance of the San Francisco 49ers. At least two of those names are likely to be starters during their upcoming rookie campaigns. Lance may not be. With only 17 games of collegiate experience on his resume, the former North Dakota State quarterback is expected to sit and learn behind veteran Jimmy Garoppolo for at least the 2021 season. That was the reason behind holding onto Garoppolo. "I

Do the San Francisco 49ers know who they're taking with the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft? Possibly, but if they do, they're not going to tell the public before the pick is announced. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch spoke with reporters for around 30 minutes on Monday regarding the upcoming draft, which will begin Thursday evening (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) in Cleveland, Ohio. The main topic of discussion, of course, was what the 49ers will do at pick 3, and where they stand at this point in the process. With the 49ers set to add a quarterback with the third overall pick in this week's NFL Draft and a contrast in styles expected to be available to them in perceived pocket passer Mac Jones along with higher-athleticism candidates in Trey Lance and Justin Fields, there's been some discussion in the past over whether or not the 49ers will choose to follow league trends and emphasize athleticism in their selection. Shanahan addressed that topic during the 49ers' predraft press conference on Monday, saying he doesn't let any single style or

Mac Jones is a very different quarterback compared to other top prospects like Trey Lance or Justin Fields. If analysts are to be believed, Jones may very well be the No. 3 overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch spoke for 30 minutes on Monday. That led to media and fan analysis of what Shanahan told reporters, with everyone deciphering every word, hoping to discover hints of which quarterback the coach prefers. Scott Pioli, the former assistant general manager for the Falcons, spent two seasons in Atlanta with Shanahan and may have some good insight into what the coach seeks in a signal-caller. Pioli joined Good Morning Football on Tuesday. Host Peter Schrager asked the former
