Maiocco: Much of 49ers’ 2015 staff has moved out

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area is reporting that much of the San Francisco 49ers staff from last year has packed up and moved out. On Thursday, the 49ers hired former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to be their new head coach. It was expected that he would bring in his own choices for his staff and that much of Jim Tomsula's assistants would not be retained.
Kelly met with defensive coordinator Eric Mangini, but there is no word yet on how that meeting went.
Maiocco says that Kelly is expected to meet with running backs coach Tom Rathman next week. Rathman has had two stints as the 49ers' running backs coach. One was from 1997 through 2002 and then since 2009.
Earlier today, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported that linebackers coach Jason Tarver may also stick around.
The following photo was posted on the team's official Twitter account today, which may be the first of Kelly at the 49ers facility.

49ers officially announce coaching staff hires
The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the hirings of Steve Wilks as defensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak as offensive passing game specialist, Jacob Webster as defensive quality control coach, and Max Molz as coaching operations assistant.
The Wilks and Kubiak hirings have been known since February but were never officially announced by the team. Such lengthy delays are not uncommon for the 49ers.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown via a press release.
Wilks, 53, joins the 49ers from the Carolina Panthers (2022), where he was promoted to interim head coach in Week 6 after initially serving as the secondary/defensive pass
Packers' Christian Watson: 49ers QB Trey Lance has "everything that it takes"
Trey Lance entered this past season as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. However, a season-ending ankle injury during Week 2 ended his 2022 campaign, opening the door for Jimmy Garoppolo and, eventually, rookie Brock Purdy.
Purdy, the last overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, showed that he could play at the pro level. The first-year passer entered the game for an injured Garoppolo, leading the 49ers to a Week 13 win over the Miami Dolphins, followed by seven consecutive victories as a starter.
Had Purdy not suffered a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow in the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he would likely be the undisputed Week 1 starter for the 2023 season. Of course, the 49ers
Ben Roethlisberger says 49ers reached out after Jimmy Garoppolo injury
The San Francisco 49ers made a call to former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger during the 2022 season after Jimmy Garoppolo went down with a broken foot. Despite rookie Brock Purdy stepping in and leading the team to a December 4 win over the Miami Dolphins, the 49ers understandably opted to look into all their options, including finding out if Roethlisberger might be interested in temporarily pausing his retirement.
"Last year, there were some truths to the Niners thing," Roethlisberger told Mark Madden at 105.9 The X,
