According to Matt Maiocco's blog, the Chicago Bears have hired Pep Hamilton as their quarterbacks coach. Hamilton spent one season with the 49ers as offensive assistant/quarterbacks.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is busy planning for the San Francisco 49ers, his Week 1 opponent on Sunday.
