The San Francisco 49ers are looking to bolster their safety depth following injuries to Talanoa Hufanga and George Odum. Hufanga's season came to an end in Week 11 after the starter suffered a torn ACL, leading to rookie Ji'Ayir Brown taking his place in the lineup. Odum sustained a torn biceps in last week's victory over the Seattle Seahawks. While his return for the playoffs is possible, the injuries prompted the 49ers to explore additional options. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Defensive tackle Arik Armstead is dealing with a foot injury and did not practice. When asked if it was a similar issue to what he dealt with last season (plantar fasciitis), head coach Kyle Shanahan responded, "Not sure exactly. I know it's his foot, but not sure how similar it is."
