49ers move today’s practice to nearby practice field

Aug 3, 2015 at 11:11 AM--

Like their first two practices, the San Francisco 49ers had been scheduled to conduct today's practice at Levi's Stadium.

According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the team has decided to move the practice to their nearby fields that sit behind the team's headquarters next door.

Just as it did on Saturday night, the Levi's Stadium field did have continued issues during yesterday's practice. The news of the sod problems has escalated quickly among the media.

The team remains committed to having their Wednesday practice, which will be in front of SBL holders, at Levi's Stadium.

Maiocco also stated that the team's next re-sodding will be after Taylor Swift concerts in mid-August.

The New York Giants have been a whirlwind of a franchise, last making the playoffs in 2016, and going 22-59 during that time span. In addition, they've churned through three head coaches in that time period with Bob McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge, while keeping GM Dave Gettleman, who's struggled to identify top-tier talent in the draft, and has made questionable free agent decisions, which is why Judge was fired this offseason, and Gettleman "retired", just like Tom Coughlin a few years back. San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, whose identified talent consistently over the past few years in the draft, is a finalist for New York's GM opening, having completed a second interview yesterday afternoon. The Giants reportedly are

There was a heavy amount of frustration from Cowboys fans Sunday after their team fell 23-17 to the San Francisco 49ers, as evidenced by a few of them throwing things on the field following the loss. Video from Jane Slater of the NFL Network showed fans throwing objects from the stands as the officials and Cowboys players left the field. Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence can be seen deflecting one of the objects with his helmet. #Cowboys fans throwing things at their own players. Got this sent to me by one. Be better

The San Francisco 49ers will be in a hostile environment on Saturday night, much more so than Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Lambeau Field in the playoffs is on another level. In addition to dealing with a loud home-team crowd, the 49ers will have to deal with the weather. Right now, the forecast for Saturday night calls for some cold conditions.
