49ers' Jeff Wilson, Tarvarius Moore to start camp on PUP; Updates on Jaquiski Tartt, Nick Bosa, Dee Ford, Jalen Hurd

On Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch informed reporters that running back Jeff Wilson Jr. and safety Tarvarius Moore are being placed on the active/physical-unable-to-perform (PUP) list as the team prepares to kick off training camp. Wilson suffered a non-contact knee injury in May. Moore underwent surgery after suffering a torn Achilles during practice in June. "[Players are] going through physicals today, and if there are any additions, Kyle (Shanahan) will hit you up in the coming days," Lynch said. "But that's where we are right now." 49ers-Chargers joint practice scheduled for August 19 in Southern California

The San Francisco 49ers' only road game of the preseason is a trip to the Los Angeles area on August 22 to play the Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. It was reported in June that the two teams would hold a joint practice leading to the exhibition matchup. At the time, NBC Sports Bay Area stated that the two coaches — Kyle Shanahan and Brandon Staley — were working out the details. It appears the details are finalized. The two California teams will hold their joint practice on Thursday, August 19, in Costa Mesa, three days before the game. The session is one of 23 joint practices scheduled in August,



49ers training camp practice schedule and media availability - Week 1

Training camp is about to kick off and the San Francisco 49ers will hold four consecutive days of practice starting on Wednesday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch will open the week by speaking to reporters on Tuesday, followed by select players. Defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel are also scheduled to speak during the week. The San Francisco 49ers held their first of 13 scheduled training camp practices. Below are some practice notes from various media sources. Limited: DE Nick Bosa (knee) DE Dee Ford (neck, back) WR Jalen Hurd (knee) DT Javon Kinlaw (knee) Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after practice that the 49ers are being careful with defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, who underwent a clean-up procedure in his knee after last season and, more recently, a minor procedure to reduce swelling.
