The San Francisco 49ers announced today that they would be increasing the maximum capacity for their August 9 practice at Levi's Stadium from 10,000 to 20,000.

Earlier in the week, the team allowed fans to enter online for a chance to receive tickets to the exclusive practice. Tickets will be awarded randomly to those that entered.

The 49ers kick off practices tomorrow night at Levi's Stadium following the Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Charity High School Football Game.

49ers fan takeover of SoFi Stadium shocked Matthew Stafford's wife

The San Francisco 49ers remain a popular team in the Los Angeles area, but Sunday's crowd at SoFi Stadium for the playoff-impacting game against the Los Angeles Rams was wild. The Rams were the home team, but you couldn't tell. That's because the crowd was dominated by 49ers fans, forcing the Rams to play in a hostile environment on their own turf. It got so bad for the Rams that the crowd noise forced the offense to use a silent count during critical moments in the game. It was too loud to ignore. "It was a tough environment for us to communicate in really the whole second half," Rams quarterback Matthew

Being a 49ers fan in Cowboy Country

After an epic 23-17 win by the San Francisco 49ers, social media has been quiet in my part of the country. That's because San Antonio, Texas is a part of Cowboy Country, and when you support a hated rival like San Francisco, fans will tease you if they lose, especially if they are family. In Texas, the Waiter family are majority Cowboys fans, with a small minority of Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, and the 49ers fans. Growing up with a family of your dreaded rivals and living in Cowboy Country was an adventure, especially in the 90s, when both teams were considered the kings of the NFL. Last season, when the 49ers lost to the Cowboys, 33-41, the family let me know "We Dem Boys" through text messages and phone calls. It did

Jimmy Garoppolo will be limited at 49ers practice on Wednesday

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the media on Wednesday. He stated that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would practice during Wednesday's session. Although, he will be limited. "[Garoppolo] threw yesterday, and it's made him good enough to be limited today," Shanahan said. Garoppolo is still recovering from a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb, an injury that some believe will require offseason surgery. He could not practice last week and wasn't available for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Rookie Trey Lance started in Garoppolo's place and could make his third career start this weekend, depending on Garoppolo's status. "We'll put Jimmy in on what he feels comfortable doing with where he's at today,"
