With a couple of notable exceptions, the San Francisco 49ers stifled the New York Giants on the ground Sunday, which played a big role in the team's 36-9 blowout win at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The 49ers held the Giants to 66 yards on 15 carries, with 49 of those yards coming on runs from quarterback Daniel Jones. It was part of a dominant effort overall that saw the 49ers hold the Giants to 231 total yards while limiting them to 13 first downs and preventing them from running a single play in the red zone. "I think it's all about just everybody doing their job," 49ers linebacker Fred Warner said after the win. "With the run game, it's all about a mindset knowing that you want to come out and you want to attack -- just attack their offense.
