Quarterback Blaine Gabbert may be staying in San Francisco according to ESPN's Josina Anderson. Right now, Colin Kaepernick remains the only quarterback under contract with the team. The team may not have had too many options left for a backup.

Cornerback Perrish Cox will be visiting with Washington. Both he and cornerback Chris Culliver, the 49ers' two starters last season, are free agents.

Update:

Cox is also scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, if Washington lets him out of the building.

Update 2:

Gabbert's deal is a 2-year, $2 million contract.
