Lane Kiffin a front-runner for 49ers’ offensive coordinator job

According to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, University of Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin has emerged as a front-runner for the offensive coordinator job with the San Francisco 49ers.
Of course, Indianapolis Colts special assistant Rob Chudzinski is also in the running.
Kiffin has been the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers, and the USC Trojans football programs. He is the son of longtime NFL defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

San Francisco 49ers passing-game coordinator Mike LaFleur is headed to the New York Jets to be the offensive coordinator as part of Robert Saleh's staff. Minutes after Saleh's hiring, it was reported that 49ers linebackers coach DeMeco Ryans was expected to replace Saleh as the team's defensive coordinator.
Run-game coordinator Mike McDaniel was also expected to be a hot name for an NFL offensive coordinator job, with his name already being linked to the Miami Dolphins.

According to Joe Person of The Athletic (via Pro Football Talk), the Carolina Panthers are expected to request an interview with San Francisco 49ers vice president of player personnel Adam Peters for the team's general manager opening.
