Jimmy Garoppolo threw the football on Tuesday, trying to see where he is in his recovery from a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback spoke with reporters before Wednesday's practice and was asked how his hand feels after that throwing session. "It's sore," Garoppolo responded. "It was a pretty good throwing session yesterday, just trying to get the motion back and everything, get it feeling where I want it to feel." Garoppolo will participate in Wednesday's practice. San Francisco still leads 23-17 at the time of this post. Warner played in 16 games this season, racking up 137 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, three quarterback hits, 0.5 sacks, four passes defensed, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries heading into this playoff game, per Pro Football Reference. Update: The 49ers announced that Warner is "questionable" to return due to an ankle

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has yet to announce who will start the game at quarterback, but Lance has been staying ready this week, in part, by splitting reps with Garoppolo after getting all of the first-team reps last week.
