Harbaugh declines to discuss Michigan; NT Mike Purcell promoted to active roster

When asked about the 6-year, $48 million offer from the University of Michigan, San Francisco 49ers head coach declined to comment. If accepted, Harbaugh would become the highest paid coach in college football.

The 49ers promoted nose tackle Mike Purcell from the practice squad to the active roster today.

The 49ers released Ray McDonald yesterday after allegations of sexual assualt surfaced.
