Harbaugh declines to discuss Michigan; NT Mike Purcell promoted to active roster

When asked about the 6-year, $48 million offer from the University of Michigan, San Francisco 49ers head coach declined to comment. If accepted, Harbaugh would become the highest paid coach in college football.

The 49ers promoted nose tackle Mike Purcell from the practice squad to the active roster today.

The 49ers released Ray McDonald yesterday after allegations of sexual assualt surfaced.

49ers held pre-draft meeting with Michigan RB Chris Evans, per report

The San Francisco 49ers are among several teams that have held pre-draft virtual meetings with former Michigan running back Chris Evans. The news was brought to us by Danish journalist Søren Hansen, who was the first to report the date of Justin Fields' second pro day. "Michigan's RB Chris Evans has had zoom calls with the 49ers, Bengals, Patriots, Vikings, Giants and Chiefs," reads a translated tweet by Hansen. "Did not get much playing time in college and sat out in 2019, but is a great back and a good receiver who had a strong Pro Day. Interesting name for the bottom of the third day of the draft." Evans (5-11, 211) carried the football 16 times for just 73 yards



Mike McDaniel discusses his new role as 49ers offensive coordinator

Mike McDaniel started working with Kyle Shanahan with the Houston Texans. He is one of the San Francisco 49ers head coach's most trusted assistants, serving as the team's run-game coordinator during his first four seasons in Santa Clara. In January, McDaniel was promoted to offensive coordinator, becoming the first coach under Shanahan to hold that title. 49ers own 10th-best roster ahead of draft in PFF ranking

Pro Football Focus recently completed its positional-by-position rankings for all 32 NFL teams. Now, it's time for analyst Anthony Treash to combine everything and determine the league's best overall rosters, ranking each from best to worst.
