Harbaugh declines to discuss Michigan; NT Mike Purcell promoted to active roster

When asked about the 6-year, $48 million offer from the University of Michigan, San Francisco 49ers head coach declined to comment. If accepted, Harbaugh would become the highest paid coach in college football.

The 49ers promoted nose tackle Mike Purcell from the practice squad to the active roster today.

The 49ers released Ray McDonald yesterday after allegations of sexual assualt surfaced.

The San Francisco 49ers are now focused on the offseason, with their season ending at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in a 31-7 loss on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game. Which means it's time for personnel decisions, likely coaching staff departures, and of course, quarterback talk. San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey's Pro Bowl snub didn't go unnoticed by fans. His name was a rather shocking omission from the initial NFC roster. The NFL has corrected that mistake. 49ers announce roster moves ahead of NFC Championship Game vs. Eagles; Dre Greenlaw fined

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of their NFC Championship Game matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Elevated (standard) from the practice squad to the active roster: RB Tevin Coleman CB Janoris Jenkins On Friday, the 49ers only ruled out one player, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot), for Sunday's game. However, two players, running back Elijah Mitchell (groin) and cornerback Ambry Thomas (ankle), were listed as "questionable" to play.
