In order to make room for newly signed safety Bubba Ventrone, the San Francisco 49ers have announced that they have - once again - released wide receiver Kassim Osgood.

Osgood, who is not 34 years old, debuted in 2003 after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers out of San Diego State.

He was originally signed by the 49ers on June 4, 2013. He was among the team's final August 31st cuts prior to the start of the 2013 season.

Osgood was re-signed by the team on September 11, 2013. He would later be let go.

He would once again be signed on March 24, 2014 and waived on August 30, 2014.

Osgood was once again signed on September 9, 2014 before being released today.

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the release of veteran cornerback Isaiah Oliver. Notably, Oliver did not take a single defensive snap throughout the 49ers' three playoff games, being utilized exclusively on special teams. He spent only one season with San Francisco. The move saves the 49ers $2.4 million in salary cap space while creating $1.46 million in dead money, per OverTheCap.com. 49ers Communications provided the following rundown. Oliver (6-0, 202) originally signed with the 49ers on March 15, 2023. In 2023, he appeared in 17 games (six starts) and

He will serve as the New Orleans Saints' offensive coordinator after his stint as the 49ers' offensive passing game specialist. Kubiak only spent one season with the 49ers. Of course, it's unsurprising to see the considerable interest in head coach Kyle Shanahan's coaching staff, given the success many of his proteges have found across the league.
