If anyone had any doubts about the New York Jets potentially drafting quarterback Zach Wilson, those doubts might have been erased on Monday. Why the 49ers made the move to No. 3

Patrick Mahomes. Jared Goff. Carson Wentz. Cam Newton. Russell Wilson. What do these names have in common? Well, all of these quarterbacks were first-string quarterbacks on Super Bowl teams (Wentz was injured, but was QB1 on the Eagles). Most importantly, they were all on their rookie contracts during the year their teams made the Super Bowl. On March 26, the San Fransisco 49ers sent a boatload of picks: the No. 12 pick, their next two first-rounders, AND a third-round compensatory selection in 2022 for the No. 3 pick this year. Given the magnitude of the trade and the amount the 49ers gave up, many were questioning whether the trade up to presumably grab a quarterback was worth it for the franchise. 49ers' Nick Bosa shares video showing rehab progress

By David Bonilla
Apr 8, 2021

Nick Bosa was one of several ("several" may be an understatement) San Francisco 49ers who suffered injuries last season. The young pass rusher's injury was season-ending. He suffered a torn ACL in Week 2. Bosa appears to be recovering nicely. On Thursday, he posted a new workout video on social media, which was captured and shared by our friends over at @OurSF49ers_. The video shows Bosa running with a weight sled tied to his waist, and he doesn't appear to be hampered by his left knee injury. Nick Bosa's ACL recovery looks to be going amazing, you love to see it 🙌🏼

NFL restructures offseason programs amid COVID concerns from players

By David Bonilla
Apr 14, 2021

The NFL's offseason program was scheduled to begin on Monday. Players from several teams came together and opted out of the voluntary portions of Phase 1, deciding to forgo in-person workouts due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. San Francisco 49ers players had not yet made a similar statement. The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) has been pushing for an alteration to the offseason schedule, hoping for no in-person activities until training camp in July, as was the case last offseason. However, the NFL has been pushing for in-person activities to begin after just two weeks of virtual sessions. On Wednesday, the league announced a restructure to the offseason programs. Now, there will be no on-field work until May 17. That will be restricted to no-contact drills,
