According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, guard Alex Boone will be starting for the San Francisco 49ers as they face the Chicago Bears at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
He will start in place of Joe Looney. Boone had missed all of the offseason programs with the team as he held out for a new contract and more money. He did not play during week one against the Dallas Cowboys.
Boone indeed is starting; was just announced with the rest of the offensive starters.
