This morning, Jim Harbaugh stated on KNBR that he expects wide receiver and special teams ace Kassim Osgood to be re-signed by the team today.

Osgood will take the roster spot of Glenn Dorsey, who will miss most of the season with a torn bicep.

Osgood was released when the team made its final roster cuts on Saturday. His release allowed the 49ers to not pay his guaranteed salary for the season.

There is a lot of excitement to see what Jerick McKinnon can finally do within Kyle Shanahan's offense. At the time, McKinnon was expected to take over as the lead back in San Francisco for the foreseeable future. But he wound up missing the entire 2018 season after suffering a torn ACL during a practice session days before the season opener, then experienced a setback the following year that caused him to miss the 2019 season as well. In the meantime, McKinnon watched from the sidelines as his friend and now former
