The San Francisco 49ers kicked off organized team activities (OTAs) this week. The media received their first glimpse of practice today and were allowed to record videos from the Tuesday session until team drills started. Wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings were two of the noticeable absentees. Aiyuk is awaiting a contract extension from the 49ers, while Jennings has yet to sign his $4.89 million restricted free-agent tender. 49ers' Brock Purdy completes tosses to George Kittle at Levi's Stadium...during Luke Combs concert

By Marc Adams

San Francisco 49ers fans are accustomed to seeing QB Brock Purdy complete passes to tight end George Kittle. On Saturday night, the duo hooked up a few more times at Levi's Stadium. But it was on a stage rather than on the field. Country music star, Luke Combs, was in concert at Levi's Stadium, when part of the way through his show, he called Purdy and Kittle on stage to join him. Now, instead of strategizing against the 49ers' playmakers, he will help evolve the team and contribute to their quest for that elusive Super Bowl title. One player Staley is relieved to have on his side is running back Christian McCaffrey, whom the 49ers traded for in 2022. "Well, Christian, he's one of the toughest covers in the league," Staley told reporters on

By David Bonilla

Brandon Staley has transitioned from working with one Bosa to another. As the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, he worked with four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Joey Bosa. Now, he gets to work with Joey's younger brother, Nick Bosa, who also boasts four Pro Bowl selections and a first-team All-Pro nod in 2022. Staley joined head coach Kyle Shanahan's staff and will serve as the assistant head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Speaking to reporters last week, he expressed his admiration for the Bosa brothers and considers himself fortunate to work with both. "I think having to face Nick, you know what a challenge he is," Staley said. "And I've coached Khalil Mack, Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Leonard Floyd, and Nick's always a guy that we would watch. And I
