Woods doesn’t pass Broncos physical

Nolan is looking like a genius as he continues to get something for nothing.

According to USA Today, former 49ers first-round pick Rashaun Woods, whom Denver claimed off waivers, failed his physical Thursday and won't be joining the Broncos. Woods was cut by the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday. He was traded to San Diego by San Francisco. The 49ers acquired cornerback Sammy Davis for Woods.

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 11 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. Running back Elijah Mitchell suffered a fractured finger during Monday night's win against the Los Angeles Rams. He did not practice. "He just had [the procedure] yesterday," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "Today, he's not good enough to practice. I think he'll go Sunday, but we've got to see day to day."
