T. Smith injured in NFL Europe

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers TE Trent Smith (knee) suffered a knee injury in NFL Europe that will keep him out of action for a long while.

Spinner injured in NFL Europe

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers QB Bryson Spinner (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in NFL Europe that will keep him out of action for a long while.

Battle had knee drained last week

Roger Phillips, of the Oakland Tribune, reports San Francisco 49ers WR Arnaz Battle (knee) started experiencing swelling in his knee two weeks ago. He had fluid drained from his knee last week. The swelling was expected to happen as part of the healing process, according to Battle.

Hicks back at practice

The Sacramento Bee reports San Francisco 49ers RB Maurice Hicks was back at practice Monday, June 5, after missing last week's sessions because of family matters.

49ers' 2021 opponents finalized after early Week 17 action

The San Francisco 49ers' 2021 season opponent list has been finalized following the early games from Week 17's action. The NFL will not announce the dates and times for next season's schedule until April or May. This season's schedule was released on May 7, 2020. As it does every season, San Francisco will play each NFC West opponent twice. The team will also face the entire NFC North and AFC South divisions and this season's last-place opponents from the NFC South and NFC East — the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL is also expected to add a 17th regular-season game to boost revenues and offset the losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
