Nolan on the Combine, Reinfeldt and the team’s free agents

KNBR, San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan said that the coaching staff would be leaving for the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday. The Combine begins Wednesday, February 22nd and ends Tuesday, February 28th. The coin flip between the 49ers and Raiders, which will determine shich team picks 6th and which will pick 7th, takes place on Friday, February 24th.
When asked about Seattle Seahawks Vice President Mike Reinfeldt, who recently turned down a lucrative offer by the 49ers, Nolan said that he did not feel as though it was anything against the team, but just a personal preference. The 49ers will continue to interview candidates for the position of team president.
Nolan also stated that six of the team's free agents would like to get a deal done prior to the start of free agency and stay in San Francisco.

In February, ESPN released its "way-too-early" power rankings following the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers came in at No. 3, with the two Super Bowl participants, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, as the only teams ranked higher.
Over a month later, with the bulk of significant free-agency moves in the books, not much has changed for head coach Kyle Shanahan's squad. The Eagles have dropped out of the top three, falling from the No. 2 spot to fourth, replaced by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Niners remain at No. 3.
