He was excited to be reunited with head coach Kyle Shanahan. San Francisco was so confident that Benjamin could contribute that it was willing to trade away its fastest wideout, Marquise Goodwin, during the draft. Just over a month later, tragedy hit Benjamin's family. The COVID-19 pandemic, which has been going strong for nearly a year now, had hit home. Russell Wilson isn't happy with his situation in Seattle. Earlier this month, the Seahawks quarterback expressed his frustration to reporters. "I'm frustrated with getting hit too much," Wilson said. Michael-Shawn Dugar, Mike Sando, and Jayson Jenks of The Athletic report that the quarterback has discussed those frustrations with team decision-makers multiple times and even offered up ideas to fix the situation. Those suggestions were reportedly dismissed, leaving Wilson more frustrated with the organization. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports first reported Wilson's growing discontent, naming several potential trade destinations.
