Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Sunday night that the San Francisco 49ers' decision regarding the No. 3 overall pick had come down to Mac Jones of Alabama versus Trey Lance of North Dakota State. If accurate, that means Justin Fields of Ohio State is likely out of the picture in the minds of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. There was also a report from Todd McShay of ESPN that sources around the league believe that Shanahan is leaning toward Jones, while the 49ers' personnel department is pushing for Lance. Although, Pelissero reports that no formal offer was made. This is NOT true, I'm told by a source with direct knowledge. Repeat NOT true. NO CALLS, per source. https://t.co/qelhNfH3R5— Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky)

"Obviously, a return to San Francisco isn't out of the cards," Sherman told ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. "I've had conversations with Seattle. I've had conversations with the Saints, the Raiders, and we've just got to wait to see how things play out." Things are on pause until the draft is complete. Sherman doesn't expect to see the interest increase until after that, as NFL teams look to add younger defenders on rookie contracts. The 49ers could select a cornerback on Day 2 of
