All 49ers draft picks have been signed

According to numerous sources, the San Francisco 49ers have signed all of their 2011 Draft selections. All ten of the selections were ready to go when the team opened camp today at 8 AM.

This is great news, especially at quarterback. Colin Kaepernick is the only quarterback currently under contract since Alex Smith cannot sign his contract until tomorrow at 3 PM, David Carr has been informed that he will be released, and Jeremiah Masoli has been listed as a running back by the team.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the San Francisco 49ers were among the teams to express interest in Giovani Bernard after his release by the Cincinnati Bengals on April 1. The veteran running back is reportedly signing a one-year deal with the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. RB Gio Bernard had early interest from the Jaguars and 49ers but held out for Bucs, who came through with a one-year deal, as @TomPelissero said. NFL Media analysts Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah went through the exercise of predicting the first three picks for the San Francisco 49ers in this year's draft. Right now, if he were forced to make a guess, Adam Schefter is in the camp of those who would tell you that the San Francisco 49ers are drafting quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama with the No. 3 overall pick. However, there are still 18 days until the start of the 2021 NFL Draft, things are fluid, and things might change. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch attended Jones' second pro day on March 30, picking that event over former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields' workout, which took place on the same day. The senior reporter shared that nothing has been decided yet, and quarterback Trey Lance of North Dakota State can still convince the team to select him No. 3 overall on April 29 with a strong pro day showing on Monday.
