Source tells CSN Bay Area that 49ers will release QB David Carr on Thurs at 1 pm. Carr was scheduled to take up $2.375 million in cap room.

According to head coach Kyle Shanahan, the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator is scheduled to interview virtually with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday. 49ers place Trent Williams, Jordan Willis on injured reserve, announce other roster rmoves

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of the team's Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Tackle Trent Williams (elbow) and defensive lineman Jordan Willis (ankle) have been placed on injured reserve. Both had already been ruled out for Week 17.
