San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch told KNBR this past Monday that the organization appeared close to trading starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earlier in the offseason, but those talks came to a screeching halt when the decision was made for the 30-year old signal-caller to have surgery on his injured shoulder. Lynch later mentioned that the team continued to have dialogue surrounding Garoppolo during the NFL Draft, but it appeared teams were hoping to secure his services at a discounted price. Lynch also mentioned that teams typically don't rush out to trade for a player following surgery until they know they've made a full recovery. To me, it almost felt like

Late Wednesday night, San Francisco 49ers fans sighed in relief as wide receiver Deebo Samuel reportedly followed the team on Instagram once again, which could be a sign that the relationship is getting back on track. Samuel, who scrubbed his account of everything 49ers related on April 7th, which was around the time of his reported trade request, was not moved during the draft as the 49ers stayed firm with their decision despite fielding multiple offers for the star receiver. Now, almost a month later, Samuel has re-followed the team, once again utilizing his power of social media to express his

Jackson could develop into that complementary piece for the 49ers defense. Luckily, he has a great role model in Bosa. "Watching him, the whole D-line, watching them hunt, I cannot wait to go get out there with those guys and just turn up with them," Jackson told reporters on Friday. After Jackson was drafted, Bosa was among several

The San Francisco 49ers will take part in an international game in 2022. They will be the designated road team, traveling to face the "home team" Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on November 21 (Week 11)—a primetime matchup on ESPN's Monday Night Football. It's the first NFL game in Mexico since 2019 when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17. 49ers will play the Cardinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Nov 21.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) May 4,
