San Francisco 49ers ‘State of the Franchise’ recap

Tonight, the San Francisco 49ers held a 'State of the Franchise' event and invited fans to attend. The even took place at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Jed York, Trent Baalke, and Mike Singletary went up on stage to discuss everything from the draft selections in April to the team's new stadium set to open in 2014.

Florio doubles down on criticism after 49ers players say the Super Bowl is the goal

It's Super Bowl or bust for the San Francisco 49ers, as it probably should be. That's what the team's head coach, Kyle Shanahan, is thinking. That's what his players are thinking. Shanahan recently spoke with team radio voice Greg Papa for the 49ers' State of the Franchise event and shared exactly what his expectations are for the upcoming season. "I know we were good enough to win that Super Bowl, and we didn't," Shanahan said. "And that's something we've got to live with. And that's why the state of the franchise, right now, is we've got to get right back to that moment (in the Super Bowl). 49ers sign 1st-round draft pick Javon Kinlaw to rookie deal

The San Francisco 49ers have signed defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, who played college football at South Carolina, to his four-year rookie deal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 49ers selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the No. 14 overall pick. The #49ers have signed first-round pick DL Javon Kinlaw, source said.
