49ers open new Santa Clara stadium website

Jun 9, 2010 at 10:10 AM--

After Measure J was announced as a success late last night, the San Francisco 49ers were quick to unveil their new stadium website at 49ersnewstadium.com.

Phil Barber of the Press Democrat says the following in his blog entry this morning:

They had a billboard printed up, all ready to be set in place at the site of the proposed 68,500-seat stadium off of Tasman Drive and bathed in light in the wee hours of election night. And they had a web site designed, one click away from reality as the votes were tallied.

The team already has a waiting list set up on the website for fans willing to put down money right now for seats. Season ticket holders, of course, will have priority.

Outside of ticket information, the new stadium website features stadium information, images, an FAQ, and more.

Elijah Mitchell won't practice; 49ers open practice windows for Dre Greenlaw, Jaquiski Tartt

By David Bonilla
Nov 17

On Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that rookie running back Elijah Mitchell was undergoing a procedure to repair a finger fracture sustained in the team's Week 10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. However, the coach wasn't eliminating the possibility that Mitchell, the 49ers' leading rusher, might play this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars or even practice today. Shanahan told reporters today that Mitchell will not take part in the first practice of the week, but the coach believes he will be good for Sunday's game. "He just had [the procedure] yesterday," Shanahan said. "Today, he's not good enough to practice. I think he'll go Sunday, but we've got to see day to day." Jeff Wilson Jr., Trenton Cannon, and

Kyle Shanahan, Jimmy Garoppolo leaving door open for QB to remain with 49ers in 2022

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about the future of the team's quarterback position. Jimmy Garoppolo is the starter right now. His eventual successor is rookie Trey Lance. That plan has not changed. The timing of the transition, however, is uncertain. Garoppolo has played well over this recent four-game stretch. San Francisco has won three of its last four, and the quarterback owns the league's best passer rating (113.2) during that span. If Garoppolo leads the 49ers into the playoffs, the team might not be eager to part ways with the veteran. Shanahan was asked if the Garoppolo to Lance transition could be delayed, given the former's recent success. Might the 49ers hold onto Garoppolo for the 2022 season? "I think there's a

The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have opened the practice window for defensive end Dee Ford. Ford has been on injured reserve since November 6 due to a back injury. He is expected to practice with his teammates on Thursday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan hopes to have Ford and linebacker Dre Greenlaw available on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. "Dee, we don't want to put him [out there] three days in a row, just because of how he's been since he's been here," Shanahan said during a KNBR interview on Wednesday. "So, we're waiting until tomorrow to start to practice him. So, tomorrow's a big practice. I know he's feeling great, from what he said, so

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams. Samuel totaled five receptions and 133 scrimmage yards (97 receiving, career-high 36 rushing) with two touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing) against the Rams.
