49ers open new Santa Clara stadium website

Jun 9, 2010 at 10:10 AM--

After Measure J was announced as a success late last night, the San Francisco 49ers were quick to unveil their new stadium website at 49ersnewstadium.com.

Phil Barber of the Press Democrat says the following in his blog entry this morning:

They had a billboard printed up, all ready to be set in place at the site of the proposed 68,500-seat stadium off of Tasman Drive and bathed in light in the wee hours of election night. And they had a web site designed, one click away from reality as the votes were tallied.

The team already has a waiting list set up on the website for fans willing to put down money right now for seats. Season ticket holders, of course, will have priority.

Outside of ticket information, the new stadium website features stadium information, images, an FAQ, and more.

'I think they like all three': Schefter says 49ers keeping an open mind on QB draft prospects

By David Bonilla
Apr 11, 2021

Right now, if he were forced to make a guess, Adam Schefter is in the camp of those who would tell you that the San Francisco 49ers are drafting quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama with the No. 3 overall pick. However, there are still 18 days until the start of the 2021 NFL Draft, things are fluid, and things might change. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch attended Jones' second pro day on March 30, picking that event over former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields' workout, which took place on the same day. That, of course, led to massive speculation that San Francisco prefers the Alabama quarterback to the former Buckeye or even Trey Lance of North Dakota State. Shanahan and Lynch are expected to be in attendance for the second pro days of

Mike McDaniel discusses his new role as 49ers offensive coordinator

Mike McDaniel started working with Kyle Shanahan with the Houston Texans. He is one of the San Francisco 49ers head coach's most trusted assistants, serving as the team's run-game coordinator during his first four seasons in Santa Clara. In January, McDaniel was promoted to offensive coordinator, becoming the first coach under Shanahan to hold that title. "Immediately, you're trying to prove your worth and prove the people right that have really invested in you and invested in your career, and given you opportunities, and et cetera, et cetera," McDaniel recently told 49ers.com reporter Keiana Martin. "It instills a level of hunger on top of the hunger that you already had." After McDaniel

Round Table: Who do the 49ers draft at No. 3 with Lawrence, Wilson off the board?

Last week, the San Francisco 49ers shocked the NFL world by trading up to the No. 3 spot in this month's draft. There is an overwhelming belief that Trevor Lawrence of Clemson and Zach Wilson of BYU will both be off the board by the time general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan are on the clock. If that is how things play out, what will be their move? We asked the 49ers Webzone staff to predict who the Niners will select at No. 3 overall, should Lawrence and Wilson be unavailable. Below are the responses in the order in which they were received. Justin Wong Justin Fields, Ohio State For the 49ers to aggressively trade top draft capital and move into the No. 3 spot likely means they have one quarterback

My case for the 49ers to draft Justin Fields

By Tim Sprinkles

When the San Francisco 49ers were drafting at No. 12, there was a lot of speculation about which quarterback might fall and who that might be. The only quarterback who seemed to have a chance to fall to twelve was Mac Jones. However, the 49ers aren't selecting at twelve anymore because they took a huge swing and traded three first rounds picks to move up to pick at No. 3. This means there will likely be three of the consensus top-five quarterback prospects still on the board. This is my case for Justin Fields. Fields is a unique specimen at the quarterback position. Everyone on Twitter wants to pigeonhole Fields into a "type" of quarterback and what he could become in Shanahan's offense. Some say he's a runner who can also throw. Others say he's a slow
