Patrick Willis against signing quarterback Carr

Mar 5, 2010 at 7:55 PM--

Apparently, San Francisco 49ers star linebacker Patrick Willis is not in favor of the team signing quarterback David Carr of the Giants.

On his official Twitter account (Twitter Verified), he made the following tweets about Carr's potential signing.

for real for what. we have 3 qb's that are better then him. That's a waste of his time

I'm saying if we going to go get another qb. spend money on a difference maker. Like vick. my opinion. And well u got urs

I'm always classy. We have opinions. U have urs and I have mine. I would rather stick with my qb's now then sign carr.

ya my same thoughts..we need impact players not duds.

Why Baldinger says the 49ers should avoid signing Tom Brady

By David Bonilla
Jan 31

After watching injury after injury devastate the San Francisco 49ers quarterback room this season, several fans on social media are willing to see what adding a veteran like Tom Brady might do to improve the team's outlook. If you don't count the four games he was suspended in 2016, Brady has started every game in all but one season since 2002. Meanwhile, Kyle Shanahan has started six different quarterbacks since becoming the 49ers' head coach in 2017. Unfortunately, he can't seem to keep his signal callers healthy. Of course, there is also a very vocal group of fans against a potential Brady signing. Their reasoning is sound. Brady will be 46 years old at the start of the 2023 season. In hindsight, the 49ers probably should have signed Brady in 2020, when they

Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle took a stab at defending Kyle Shanahan and his play calling from fans and media who place at least part of the blame for the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback injuries on the shoulders of the head coach. It's a fascinating read. Silver argues that the quarterback woes have more to do with poor luck than Shanahan unnecessarily putting his signal-callers in harm's way. Whether or not you want to accept Silver's stand on the situation is up to you. The topic has created much debate among the fanbase, but it is a discussion for another day. One thing was made clear this week. Jimmy Garoppolo, the

The San Francisco 49ers are in offseason mode, as they were eliminated by the Philadelphia Eagles to the score of 31-7 in the NFC Championship round, effectively ending their season. In the loss, the 49ers faced unimaginable circumstances, as starting quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a torn UCL on the first offensive drive of the game, while backup Josh Johnson departed with a concussion and did not return, forcing the former to re-enter, despite the injury. With the injuries to both quarterbacks, the 49ers ended the season with all four of their active quarterbacks injured, which has unfortunately been a theme for the team over the past few seasons. As uncertainty looms over the current starter in 2023, let's evaluate all the options and come to an

The dream run the San Francisco 49ers and quarterback Brock Purdy had been on for the past two months crashed and burned in emphatic fashion at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday, with the 49ers falling 31-7 in a sloppy, injury-riddled NFC Championship loss to the Eagles.
