Oddsmakers are currently giving the San Francisco 49ers a slight edge in Super Bowl 58 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kyle Shanahan's squad opened as early three-point favorites over their upcoming opponent, with this number quickly fluctuating in the range of 1.5 points to two points.
We'll see how much movement there is as the big game in Las Vegas quickly approaches.
San Francisco is entering the Super Bowl after a thrilling 34-31 comeback victory in the NFC Championship Game against the Detroit Lions. Meanwhile, Kansas City secured their spot with a 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.
"I'm ecstatic," tackle Trent Williams said after the 49ers' win. "Words can't describe how I feel right now. You enjoy it, but you know that we've got a huge game coming up. Kansas City just went in there and beat a really, really good Baltimore team, and it wasn't even particularly close if you watched the game.
"So, those guys are rolling right now. I think they definitely had a really tough go to get to the Super Bowl, and they beat some really good teams. They're playing their best ball right now."
Super Bowl 58 will mark a rematch between the two teams that faced off in the NFL title game four years ago. The Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20 in that contest, partly due to a fourth-quarter collapse by the Bay Area team.
Scheduled for February 11 at Allegiant Stadium, Super Bowl 58 promises an exciting showdown between the 49ers and the Chiefs.
