Those looking to see pass rusher Randy Gregory's San Francisco 49ers debut must wait another week. He will be among the team's inactive players against the Dallas Cowboys tonight.
Newly-acquired pass rusher Randy Gregory, whom Denver traded to SF this week, will not be active tonight against his former Cowboys' team and will wait another week to make his 49ers' debut.

Of course, this isn't a new update. On Friday, head coach Kyle Shanahan informed everyone that Gregory would not play. The defender was in Santa Clara for his physical on Friday but was headed back to Denver. He will reunite with his new teammates on Monday.
"He came in today, took his physical and stuff, so just got a chance to meet him," Shanahan told reporters. "... But he's going to head back today, see his family, get his stuff, and he'll be out here Monday."
The 49ers coach joked about Gregory's availability for the game.
"I don't want to give our secrets away. There's a chance," quipped Shanahan.
The 49ers secured Gregory through a trade deal with the Denver Broncos, relinquishing a sixth-round draft pick in 2024 in exchange for the veteran pass rusher and a 2024 seventh-round draft pick. The team released defensive end Kerry Hyder to make roster room.
San Francisco will officially announce its list of inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff. On Saturday, the 49ers elevated defensive lineman Austin Bryant and cornerback Kendall Sheffield from the practice squad for the Week 5 contest.
