The San Francisco 49ers improved to 3-0 on the season after a 30-12 Week 3 win over the New York Giants at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

- McCaffrey's rushing TD marked his 3rd of the season and 41st of his career. It also marked his 9th-consecutive regular season game with 1-or-more TDs, which is the longest streak of his career and the most consecutive regular season games with 1-or-more TDs by a 49ers player since RB Wendell Tyler [10 games (Week 11, 1982 – Week 3, 1983)].
- Including the postseason, McCaffrey has scored 1-or-more TDs in 12-consecutive games, which is the longest active streak of any NFL player and ties the 2nd-longest streak by a member of the 49ers [WR Jerry Rice, 1987 – 12-consecutive games with 1-or-more TDs (Week 1-16)]. McCaffrey's 12-consecutive games with a TD also tie former NFL RB LaDainian Tomlinson for the 4th-most consecutive games with a TD since at least 1990.
