San Francisco 49ers offensive line and run game coordinator Chris Foerster is impressed with veteran offensive tackle Trent Williams. Obviously, the coach is not the only one. Most consider Williams one of the best offensive linemen in football, even at 35 years old.

The 10-time Pro Bowl player and two-time first-team All-Pro is showing no signs of slowing down, even at the tail end of his career.

"Yeah, his thing is he's had so many reps," Foerster told reporters on Friday. "It is amazing, physically, that he's one of those physical specimens that just, as time's gone on, it doesn't look any different. It shocks me when he comes back; it seems, to me, he moves just as well as he always has."

Williams entered the league in 2010. He is entering his fourth year with the 49ers and remains a student of the game, still willing to soak up any knowledge presented to him.

"He really loves football, so he really dives into knowing everything about a lot of things," Foerster explained. "He's as big a football junkie [as anyone]. He knows about all the players in the league, and he loves football. He loves this stuff. And that's what's helped him, too, is he just wants to be really good. He wants to do things well in the right way.

"And he's always looking at himself really critically to see, how can I be a little bit better? How can I do this a little bit better? And he's not afraid to say that he doesn't like the way I teach this, or can we look at doing this a different way and talk about it?"

In addition to working with Williams in San Francisco, Foerster also worked with the offensive lineman in Washington. There is a lot of familiarity between the two.

Foerster added, "So I've been real fortunate to have worked with the guy for as long as I have, and he's just a real special person. A talented, talented guy."
