According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, the San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that have expressed interest in Texas Southern defensive lineman Demontario Anderson.
Anderson (6-3, 238), who started his collegiate career as a linebacker, recorded 7.5 sacks to go along with his 99 tackles, four passes defensed, and fumble recovery in five seasons at Texas Southern, per the school's athletics site. He racked up career-highs in sacks (5) and tackles (42) through eight games in 2022.
The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday. The 49ers aren't currently slated to make a selection until late on Friday night. Their first pick comes at the end of the third round, at No. 99 overall.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to reporters after the team's 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. He provided injury updates from the game.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was in and out of the game due to a left shoulder injury. A reporter asked if the coach was concerned that the injury could be serious.
"I wouldn't think so," Shanahan responded. "I mean, I know he was hurting a little bit, but he was able to play through it, so I think I'll be all right."
