The San Francisco 49ers announced that general manager John Lynch will meet with reporters ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, as he does every year. The media session will take place on Monday, April 24, with the start time to be announced later. While the team didn't officially name Lynch as the speaker for the session, it's pretty safe to assume it will be the general manager that is made available.

Reporters will have an opportunity to speak with select veteran 49ers players after the conversation with Lynch.

San Francisco also officially announced that its local pro day would be held on Wednesday, April 12, at 1:00 p.m. PT, with some participants speaking with reporters after the workout session. The date for the local pro day has been known since March 24 but wasn't officially announced until today.

Local pro days provide NFL teams with an in-person opportunity to work out prospects who are residents of nearby areas. The event allows teams to spend some extra time with local players they may be interested in drafting while also giving those players a valuable chance to impress their local franchise.

A roster of the attending players will be made available on the morning of the local pro day.

This week, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reported that the 49ers are among the teams "most interested" in Ertz. General manager John Lynch joined Bay Area radio station KNBR on Friday morning and addressed the 49ers' interest in the Pro Bowl player. "We're always monitoring

How John Lynch's input shaped 49ers' defensive strategy against DK Metcalf

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers faced a tight schedule leading up to their Thursday night NFC West clash with the Seattle Seahawks. Despite the challenges, the defense successfully contained Seattle's main offensive threat, wide receiver DK Metcalf, limiting him to three catches for 32 yards on nine targets while primarily covered by cornerback Charvarius Ward. Ward's impressive performance held the 6-foot-4 wideout in check, allowing only one catch for 14 yards when matched against him. After the 31-13 victory, Ward revealed that the initial game plan didn't have him concentrating so heavily on Metcalf. This adjustment came late, but Ward embraced the
