(Episode 174) - The fellas open up the show in defense of Jimmy G and his viral lip readings. They use that as a jumping-off point for Jimmy and Kyle's relationship and how it is only natural that there would be a rift considering how much flirting Shanahan has done over the years with other quarterbacks. They ask the question, is Jimmy G still bought in?
Next, they get into Kyle's history with quarterbacks and ask why his QBs tend to throw so many interceptions. They talk about why Russell Wilson was disliked by Richard Sherman and how Kyle needs to be careful he doesn't cause the same vibe in the 49ers locker room by giving him passes on everything. They talk about how Kyle has only truly had one great quarterback and why that makes Trey Lance so exciting. They ask why it is that Jimmy has not progressed. They bring up Mike McDaniel and pose the question of how much they are truly missing his genius as a play designer in the run game.
Lastly, the guys fast forward to Monday Night and give their predictions for what may be a must-win game on Monday Night Football against Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams. They run through ways to stop Cooper Kupp and how the 49ers can get over 20 points of offense. They plea for Kyle and Jimmy together to at least attempt to push the ball down the field. They all give their full predictions, including the score.
