Wide receiver Deebo Samuel—still a member of the San Francisco 49ers—is in attendance in Las Vegas for day two of the 2022 NFL Draft. Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal got a few pictures of the star wideout.
Yes, Samuel is wearing a red baseball hat. The 49ers hope to keep him in red for a long time. Samuel had requested a trade, and the Niners had multiple offers but opted not to ship their do-it-all playmaker out of the Bay Area.
The 49ers remain hopeful that they can sign Samuel to a contract extension. Samuel amassed 1,770 all-purpose yards and 14 total touchdowns for the team in 2021. San Francisco made him a second-round draft pick in 2019, and the receiver is preparing to enter his fourth NFL season.
