The San Francisco 49ers are expected to continue bolstering their pass rush and could seek to draft another edge rusher to complement fourth-year star Nick Bosa. According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, the team held a virtual meeting with South Carolina defensive end Kingsley Enagbare.

"Enagbare is close to former 49ers' first-round pick Javon Kinlaw from their time together at South Carolina," wrote Barrows. "[Draft analyst Dane] Brugler projects Enagbare being taken in the late second round or early in the third."

Enagbare registered 44 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, two passes defensed, and a forced fumble through 12 game appearances as a senior in 2021, per Sports Reference. He recorded 121 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss, 15 sacks, four passes defensed, and three forced fumbles through his four collegiate seasons—all with the Gamecocks.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6' 3 3/4" and 258-pound Enagbare had a 40-time of 4.87 seconds, a vertical jump of 36.5 inches, and a broad jump of 117 inches. Enagbare's other measurables include an arm length of 34 3/4 inches and hands measuring 10 5/8 inches.

Enagbare had a 40-time of 4.98 seconds, a broad jump of 118 inches, a 7.51-second three-cone drill time, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.54 seconds at his personal Pro Day. At South Carolina's Pro Day, he had a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.70 seconds.

"Enagbare is long and strong but lacks explosiveness, which could create diverging opinions regarding his position and how best to play him," wrote Lance Zierlein of NFL.com. "He's heavy-handed and physical but will never be confused for a playmaker on the edge. He's best suited as a cubicle defender where his power and length can benefit him in smaller spaces. He has played heavier in the past and teams might ask him to pack the pounds back on in order to compete as a run-defending interior lineman in an odd or even front."
