Broncos agree to deal with ex-49ers CB K’Waun Williams

According to Mike Kaye of Pro Football Network, the Denver Broncos are finalizing a two-year $7 million deal with free-agent cornerback K'Waun Williams, which will officially end his time with the San Francisco 49ers.


Mike Klis of 9News confirmed the report.


The Cleveland Browns signed Williams (5-9, 185) as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh in 2014. He registered 52 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, a sack, four passes defensed, an interception, and a forced fumble through 14 game appearances with the 49ers last season.

Williams, 30, has recorded 301 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hits, seven sacks, 27 passes defensed, four interceptions, and 11 forced fumbles in 91 game appearances (46 starts) through his seven NFL seasons with the Browns and 49ers.

Williams becomes the third 49ers free agent to sign with the Broncos this offseason. Offensive lineman Tom Compton and defensive tackle D.J. Jones already joined Denver.
